Virginia Mae Stiemsma

April 10, 1927 — June 26, 2018

Virginia Mae Stiemsma, age 91 formerly of Randolph, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at her daughter, Wanda’s home in Beaver Dam, who was her caregiver for the last several years of her life.

Virginia was born on April 10, 1927, in Beaver Dam, WI, a daughter of Theodore and Elsie (Fassbender) Yaroch. At a young age she was united in marriage to Marvin H. Siegert and had four children. Later in life, she was united in marriage to Roger Stiemsma and had one child. Virginia was a hard worker all her life, working multiple factory jobs to help support her five children and later retired as a CNA from Randolph Health Services (formerly Golden Living Center-Continental Manor). She enjoyed going to Ho-Chunk Casino, dancing, cooking, baking and was especially known for her Christmas candy.

Virginia is survived by her five children, Rosemary (Jerry) Linde, Marvin G. (Judy) Siegert, Yvonne Livingston, Wanda Schumann (fiancé, Gary C. Livingston) and Brenda (James) Burmania; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3, soon to be 4, great-great grandchildren; a sister, Marge Carlin; a brother, Theodore (Alice) Yaroch; 2 sisters-in-law, Carol Nehmer and Deb Stiemsma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; husband, Roger “Rhiney” Stiemsma; former husband, Marvin Siegert; a son-in-law, Ken Livingston; brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.

Visitation for Virginia will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Second Christian Reformed Church, 332 Tamarack Street, Randolph.

A funeral service for Virginia will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Second Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Keith Buist officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been directed to Beaver Dam Hillside Hospice and Second Christian Reformed Church.

Randolph Community Funeral Home is assisting the family.
