Theresa Westra, age 95 of Randolph, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Randolph Health Services.
Theresa was born on August 11, 1922, in Fox Lake, WI, a daughter of Louis and Dora (DeBoer) Bylsma Sr. On December 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to Norman Westra in Randolph. She worked at Jung Seed Company for 40 years. Theresa was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church and was also a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening. Theresa and Norman traveled all over the United States and Canada after his retirement.
Theresa is survived by three nephews, Jim (Pam) Bylsma of Randolph, Richard (Debra) Bylsma of Middlebury, IN and Larry (Doreen) Bylsma of Friesland; one niece-in-law, Trish Bylsma of Eau Claire; a sister-in-law, Bertha Bylsma; great nephews and nieces; great-great nephews and nieces; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992; her parents; a step son, Larry Westra; one brother, Louis Bylsma, Jr. and a nephew, David Bylsma.
Visitation for Theresa will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at First Reformed Church, 406 South High Street, Randolph.
A funeral service for Theresa will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at church with Pastor Al Pruis officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been directed to the First Reformed Church building fund/roof.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the care given to her at Randolph Health Services and Hillside Hospice.
