Tammy Elizabeth Panten

Tammy Elizabeth Panten, age 42 of Markesan, passed away at her home on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

Tammy was born on October 5, 1978, in Waupun, WI, daughter of John Sr. and Nancy (Berghammer) Panten. She graduated from Markesan High School and then worked at Markesan Residents Home for many years. Tammy enjoyed working at the home and making the residents happy. She was a very caring person and loved to spend time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Tammy was a member of the area Dart League and Pool League. She enjoyed cookouts and bonfires with family and friends. She looked forward to baking cookies with the family every year and will be deeply missed.

Tammy is survived by her mother, Nancy Panten; brother, John Jr.(Brenda) Panten; sister, Teresa (Todd) DeChant, brother, Tim (Karen) Panten, all of Markesan and sister-in-law, Lisa Peters, of Mauston; nieces and nephews, Trinity, Dylan (Kendra) Kayla, Derek, Hannah, Adam, Ryan, Abbigayle and Ella.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Sr.; brother, Tom Panten and niece, Emily Panten.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, December 4, 2020, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street and again on Saturday, December 5, 2020, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

A funeral service for Tammy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Markesan Community Funeral Home with Pastor Kyochul Shin officiating. Burial to follow at Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
