Shirley Ann Hayes

Shirley Ann Hayes, age 86 of Dalton, passed away at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah on Sunday, August 4 , 2019, with family at her side.

Shirley was born on January 25, 1933, a daughter of William and Viola (Ely) Schonasky. She was united in marriage to Robert Lee Hayes on April 19, 1952. Shirley enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was camping, bird watching or gardening.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Carol (George) Werla, Cindy (Russell) Werth and Dennis Hayes; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Darlene (Wallace) Zerna and brother, Donald (Marilyn) Schonasky.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2016; son, Robert Hayes; a great granddaughter; two brothers, William “Bill” Schonasky and George (Josephine) Schonasky.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan. Private burial will follow.
