Ronald Frank Kolash

Ronald Frank Kolash, age 79 of Randolph, passed away on Monday, May 21 ^st , 2018, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Ron was born on July 1 ^st , 1938, in Richland Center, WI, a son of Martin and Bessie (Nachtigal) Kolash. He graduated from Wonewoc High School, attended Bethel Grad School and graduated from Sauk Creek Teachers College with a degree in education. Ron’s first job was teaching 7 ^th and 8 ^th grade at Merrimac, WI, then to Rewey, WI, and taught 7 ^th and 8 ^th grade and was building principal. That’s where he met, fell in love and married Eunice Ann Knebel on April 27 ^th , 1963. In Rewey, Ron was involved in church Sunday school and was in the choir, as well as a volunteer fireman for 7 years. In 1964, they were blessed with a son, Ronald Brent and 2 years later along came Rodney Bruce. He also graduated from UW Platteville with a degree in education. They moved to Orfordville, WI, where Ron taught junior high math and was building principal for two years. They then moved to Grafton, WI, and then lived in Cedarburg, WI, where he taught 5 ^th grade and was building principal at Pleasant Valley Elementary School for 11 years. In Cedarburg, both Ron and Eunice were deeply involved in Cub Scouts with their sons. In 1978, they moved to Randolph, WI, where he was the elementary and middle school principal until retiring in 1996.

Ron is survived by his close knit family including: his loving wife, Eunice; two sons, Ronald (Kathryn) Kolash and Rodney (Michelle) Kolash; four grandchildren, Shannon (Tyler), Jessica, Kyle and Parker; two sisters, Charlotte (John) Rockweiler and Evelyn Leverenz; a sister-in-law, Rita (Dallas) Lisney; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Marian Kolash and a brother-in-law, Steven Leverenz.

Visitation for Ron will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 25 ^th , 2018, at First Reformed Church, 406 South High Street, Randolph, WI.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 25 ^th , 2018, at First Reformed Church with Pastor Elliott Pollasch officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Ron’s name.
