Robert "Bob" Vande Brink

December 26, 1949 — June 24, 2022

Robert Allen Vande Brink, age 72 of Markesan, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at his home with family at his side.

Bob was born on December 26, 1949, in Ripon, son of Robert and Shirley (Splitt) Vande Brink. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1969. Bob entered into service with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and served from 1969 to 1971. On July 21, 2001, he was united in marriage to Rosemarie Albedyll.  He worked hard all his life, for many years he drove semi-truck and was employed with the town of Lynne maintaining the roadways.  Bob has continued the 3rd generation of family vacations at the American Legion Ripon Post # 43 Cabin on Little Lake Tomahawk.  Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and going bowling with friends and family. He loved spending time on the Willow Flowage in Oneida County, fishing with the family. He would always look forward to attending the grandchildren’s events throughout the years. Bob was a founding member of the “Bucks Clubs” and founder of “Fort Beauty Head Quarters”.  He was a local former Jaycees member for many years.

Bob is survived by “Potlickers” his loving wife Rosemarie Vande Brink, of Markesan; four children, Jonathan Vande Brink of Markesan, Matthew (DeAna) Vande Brink, of Ripon, Jennifer (Gavin) Dudzinski (Shawn)of Ripon and Elizabeth (Paul) Swan of Beaver Dam; eight grandchildren, Evan and Danica Swan, Kara, Mara and Madi Vande Brink, Declan Dudzinski, Carter and Caleb Vande Brink; two brothers, Don Vande Brink of Florida and Tom (Sheree) Vande Brink of Madison; sister, Cathy (Don) Statz of Florida; mother-in-law, Sandra Gibbs of Beaver Dam; Pam Vande Brink, Jessica Heider family and Jana Vande Brink; further survived by close friends, Bucks Club members, Dave Witthun, Lisa Zunker, Tom Chier, Craig “Wally” Wallendal; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike (Betty) Vande Brink; sister-in-law, Ann Vande Brink; niece, Catherine Vande Brink; father-in-law, Clarence Albedyll; family friend, Jessica Heider.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Soldiers and Sailors Park, W1996 WI-44, Markesan, WI 53946.
