Robert "Bob" L. DeMotts

Robert “Bob” L. DeMotts of Waupun passed away on December 16, 2024, at the Meadows of Fall River, after a courageous fight against Parkinsons.

Bob was the son of Harold and Catherine (Bronkhorst) DeMotts. He graduated from Waupun High School and Fond du Lac Tech School. He served in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Bob was in the grocery business his whole life, retiring from Lauer’s Warehouse Foods in Waupun. He was united in marriage to Betsy (Veleke) on November 4th, 1971.

Bob leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Betsy DeMotts; and sister, Mary (Larry) Navis. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Catherine DeMotts; in-laws, Horace and Ella Mae Veleke; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy (Veleke) and Ron Harmsen, Ken and Jessie Veleke.

The family would like to thank Hillside Hospice, Generations Hospice and the Meadows of Fall River for their care of Bob.

A private funeral service will be held.
