Ricky "Snake" Melvin

Ricky Dean Melvin, age 63 of Baraboo, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Randolph Health Services.

Ricky was born on August 1, 1959, in Baraboo, WI, son of Richard and June (Tinkham) Melvin He was enlisted in the Army in 1977. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Reichhoff on July 27, 1989, in Baraboo, WI. Snake enjoyed hunting, collecting coins and hot wheels. His biggest passion was fishing and he would go onto compete in fishing tournament with friends and family. Snake owned and operated Snakes Baits for a number of years. He will be deeply missed by many.

Snake is survived by his loving wife, Kim Melvin; daughter, Mercedes (John) Cary; grandchildren, Gunner, Drayden and Zion Cary; two sisters, Cindy (Greg) Blackley and Susie (Lee) Emmer; two nephews, Justin (Erica) Schultz and Jordon Schultz; further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jamison Miller; parents, Richard Melvin and June (John) Hartman; grandparents, Walter (Genevieve) Harrison.
