Richard "Slip" Spranger

January 1, 1971 — September 27, 2023

Richard Herman Spranger, age 52 of Randolph, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.

Richard was born on January 1, 1971, son of Robert and Joyce (Knaack) Spranger. He was a graduate of Randolph High School, class of 1989. In his earlier years he enjoyed playing on the Macheel Farms Softball Club. Slip enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved hunting, ice fishing and was a die-hard Packer and Brewer fan. He was able to watch the Milwaukee Brewers become the latest team to clinch the Division Title in the National League. Slip was a basketball referee in the Randolph area for many years. Rick was employed with Roberts Brothers Painting for over 30 years. Throughout those 30 years, his favorite part was hanging from barn roofs. Slip will be deeply missed by many.

Rick is survived by his brother, Robert “Cricket” Spranger of Randolph; sisters, Shelli Turner of Germantown and Sherri Spranger of Beaver Dam; nieces and nephews, Brooke (Seth) Zimmerman, Logan Turner, Victoria (Jim) Martina, Matthew Brantley and Murphy Martina; friends who are family, Paul and Hugh Jr. Roberts; further survived by relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents.

No services will be held per Rick’s request.

Donations may be made in Rick’s name to Randolph Boys and Girls Club, 125 Meadow Wood Drive, Randolph, WI 53956.
