Rev. Donald Boss

Donald Boss, age 92, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018, at Waupun Memorial Hospital with family at his side.

Don was born on August 6, 1926 in Charlevoix, Michigan, a son of John and Jennie (Drenth) Boss. He entered into service with the U.S. Navy and served from 1944-1946. On June 30, 1949, he was united in marriage to Ann Fikse in Chandler, MN. Don attended Hope College, served on the Board of Trustee and graduated in 1950. Following his graduation from Hope College, he attended Western Theological Seminary, graduating in 1953. Don served as a Reformed Minister in several Midwest churches, retiring in Waupun in 1989. He served as Vice President and President of Regional Synod of RCA and past member of Waupun Kiwanis and certified as a clown.

Don is survived by his son, Richard (Amy) Boss; two daughters, Mary Boss and Rhoda (Christopher) Kerkes; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Van Stedum; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010; two grandchildren, Ruth Ann Boss and Timothy Boss; six brothers, William, Edward, Franklin, Jay, Gerald and Allan Boss; two sisters, Effie Dalman and Rheta Patti; three brother-in-laws.

Visitation for Don will be held from 12 noon to 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at First Reformed Church, 422 West Franklin Street, Waupun.

A memorial service will be held for Don at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 11 ^th at Church with Pastor Barry Lang officiating. A committal service will take place at a later date with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard.
