Priscilla Jane Perry

March 7, 1937 — July 5, 2024

Priscilla Jane (Isken) Perry, 87, of Waupun, was promoted into eternal glory on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Priscilla was born on March 7, 1937 at St. Agnes in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the fifth daughter of Arthur George Isken and Adela Leona (née Fischer). She was the sixth of eight children in a household coming out of the depression and then raised by a single parent when her father passed away when she was 5 years old. Priscilla was a delightful, bubbly person with a positive outlook on life. She was friendly and never knew a stranger. She hugged everyone and was a one-of-a-kind character.

Priscilla loved the Bible, worship and was a prayer warrior, leaving a legacy of faith in Jesus for her family. She was known for believing the best in other people, and was a wonderful model of forgiveness and kindness. She was always a ball of energy, and was affectionately known as "Grandma Hot Pepper" by her grandchildren because of her love of cayenne pepper and spicy food.

Priscilla graduated from Lomira High School. She was united in marriage to Duane Perry on February 25, 1956, at St. John's Lutheran in Lomira, WI. Priscilla had a successful career in jewelry sales. She was number one in the nation at two different jewelry sales companies. She was also passionate and enjoyed many interests. She loved gardening, books, road trips, music, and making friends. She traveled to Israel, as well as a mission trip to Brazil, and was even planning a future trip to Africa. She completed the requirements to become a licensed minister. She started a second career as a certified nursing assistant at age 72.

She was an active member of The River Church (formerly Faith Bible Church) for many years. She taught Sunday school, and was involved in prison ministry for years.

Priscilla is survived by her son, Scott (Anna) Perry, and daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Morrison; six grandchildren, Lindsey (John) Pieper, Joseph Roe, Andrew (Grace) Brown, Mabel Roe, Anna Elizabeth Brown; and Sarah Perry; five great-grandchildren, Victoria Pieper, Matthew Brown; Benjamin Brown, Abigail Brown, Evangeline Brown, and one sister, Delores (Dave) Stuebs, and nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, daughter, Ellen Perry; sisters, Arleen Schilling, Carol Isken, Katheryn Batterman; brothers, George Isken, Donald Isken, and Ronald Isken; and son-in-law, Michael Brown.

A celebration of Priscilla's life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm, and the service starting at 3:00 pm at The River Church, 200 Fox Lake Road, Waupun presided over by Pastors Wayne and Lisa Morrison.
