Phillip "Mckracken" Kleuskens

I lost my friend, Phillip J. Kleuskens, age 64 of Waupun, who passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at his childhood home.

Phillip was born on October 7, 1958, in Waupun, Wisconsin, the son of Melvin and Delores (Heezen) Kleuskens.  Strong in his Catholic faith and a lover of music, he soon mastered the guitar and several other instruments.  As a member of several up-and-coming bands, he applied his talents in venues local and abroad.  Phil was also blessed in finding love though it was only to last a few short chapters in his life quest.  He was later successful as an entrepreneur starting an electronics/technology repair operation in Florida.  Through his determination, knowledge and strong work ethic he was able to grow the business and a reputation as a brilliant trouble-shooter at an honest price.  Through Phil’s life he maintained a strong bond with his mother who remained in the family home in Waupun.  When her health began to wane, he sold his business and relocated back to the family home.  He was devastated by her passing several years after leaving Florida.  Phil remained in the family home continuing to be a source of inspiration to friends and family until he was called home to the Lord just a few days short of his 65th birthday.

Phillip is survived by his brother David Kleuskens who lives currently in the Milwaukee area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Kleuskens, in 1993 at the age of 66 and his mother, Delores (Heezen) Kleuskens, in 2016 at the age of 86.

Rest in peace my friend, may you find that final happiness in the open arms of our lord.
