Patricia "Pat" Ann Kind

Patricia Ann Kind, age 78 of Wautoma, was carried in the arms of Jesus on February 4, 2023.

Pat was born in West Bend on September 10, 1944, daughter of Fredrich and Eva (Younker) Kind.  She spent her younger years horseback riding and raising cattle. Pat loved to take road trips out West. The love of those hobbies has been passed on to her children and grandchildren. In 1979, she built a home in the Wautoma area and began dairy farming. In 1991, Pat was the first lady farmer to receive the Milk Quality Award of Associated Milk Producers, Inc. Morning Glory Farms for this region.  She was a hardworking woman that has instilled great work ethic in her family. After many years of farming, Pat became the head cook at Café Hilltop until her health failed. Some favorite memories are the conversations in the barn or in the field bailing hay, Polka Sundays in the barn and don’t forget the endless meals that could feed an army, no one was left hungry.  Pat had a huge heart and was always there for others. Those that have met Pat are blessed.  She will be greatly missed.

Pat is survived by her four children, Jodel (Maurice) Gallup, Jeanie (Dennis) Schneider, John (Beverly) Kind, and Joey Kind; six grandchildren, Jamie (Tim) Minnema, Elizabeth Kind, Christopher Kind, Danielle (Luke) Cross, Kaylee and Ethan Kind; four great-grandchildren, Samantha, Avaya and Makenna Minnema and Riley Rey Cross; brother, Harry (Judy) Kind and sister, Fern (Don) Hutson; longtime friend, Dottie Thiel; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Pearl Dutton; two brothers, Bob and John Kind.

Visitation for Pat will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 364 S. Cambridge Street, Wautoma, WI.

Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 364 S. Cambridge Street, Wautoma, WI with Fr. Bill Evans officiating.
