Neoma Marjorie Uecker age 92 of Markesan, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the Waupun Memorial Hospital.
Neoma was born on September 16, 1926, a daughter of Emil and Margaret (Ferge) Krueger. She graduated from Brandon High School in 1944. Neoma was united in marriage to Marvin Uecker on June 2, 1946, at the County Line Church. She worked at Emory Paul Law Office as a secretary for 5 years and helped her husband on the family farm. Neoma enjoyed gardening, baking and during her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband. Neoma and Marvin loved playing cards, especially playing with the 500 card club. She was also a member of the Homemakers Group of Green Lake County. Neoma was a Sunday school teacher, altar guild and member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Neoma is survived by four children, Jerald (Carol) Uecker of Butternut, Jean (John) Skemp of Markesan, Thomas Uecker and significant other Sue Leber of Berlin and Kathleen (James) Thran of Fond du Lac; daughter-in-law, Karen Uecker; seven grandchildren, Kenneth (Stacy) Uecker, Steve Uecker, Angela (Joel) Voigt, Jackie (Jonathan) Lisowski, Tim (Jess) Uecker, Kimberly Thran and significant other Willy Homan and Tyler Thran; seven great grandchildren, Cole Uecker, Zoey and Hailey Uecker, Graesun Voigt, Alice and Blake Uecker and Noah Lisowski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter, Tracy Ann in infancy.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, 100 Church Street, Fairwater.
Funeral service for Neoma will be held at 11:00 A.M. on February 14th at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Rosenberg. Burial will take place at the Fairwater Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Neoma’s name and decided at a later date. .
