Nelson Elroy Seymer

Nelson Elroy Seymer age 97, of Markesan entered Eternal Life on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Barrett House in Markesan.

Nelson was born in Milwaukee on July 30, 1925, son of Orlando and Edna (Stelter) Seymer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Nelson loved cutting wood, and was an antique car enthusiast; he built his own car known as “Seymer Pursuit”. Nelson was a member of Markesan United Methodist Church.

Nelson is survived by his brother, Roger (Shirley) Seymer, sister, Joyce Dornbrook; sisters-in-law, Marlene Seymer and Rose Seymer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald, Cyril, Donald, Glen, Robert and Richard Seymer; sisters, Phyllis Luedke and Sandra Seymer.

Visitation will be held from 10:00  to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street.

A funeral Service for Nelson will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Markesan Community Funeral Home with Rev. Carol Christianson officiating. Burial to follow at Tichora Cemetery.
