Myron DeYoung, age 93 of Markesan, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Randolph Health Services.
Mike was born on September 26, 1924, in rural Randolph, son of John and Katie (Kampstra) DeYoung. On November 25, 1949, he was united in marriage to Gladys Navis in Waupun. Mike worked on the family farm in rural Randolph for a number of years. He later became a seed corn dealer before retiring to Markesan, where he spent the last 20 years. Mike was a lifelong member and deacon of the First Reformed Church of Randolph.
Mike is survived by his three children, Juliene (James) Buenger of Sussex, and their children, Jason (Shawna) Buenger of DeForest and Jeffrey (Melissa) Buenger of Madison; Judy (Jim) VanderWerff of Markesan, and their children, Jeremy VanderWerff of Markesan and Jenna VanderWerff of Middleton; Barb (Bill) Decker of Waupun, and their children, Carrie Decker (Lane LeRoy) of Beaver Dam and Benjamin Decker of Waupun; Eleven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Sharon (Dick) Peters of Princeton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2014; four brothers, Raymond (Sadie) DeYoung, Andrew (Margaret) DeYoung, Norman (Anna) DeYoung and Garrett DeYoung; in-laws, Milton (Ardell) Navis, Harvey Navis and Junice (Gordy) Smits.
Private family service will take place. Memorial fund has been established to Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church, W3278 County Road K, Markesan, WI 53946.
