Mildred Wilma Devries

Mildred Wilma DeVries age 89 of Randolph, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2019 at The Christian Homestead of Waupun.

Mildred was born on December 3, 1929 in the Town of Alto, daughter of Gerrit and Allie (Mulder) Vande Zande. She was united in marriage to Chester DeVries on September 9, 1955 at Alto Christian Reformed Church. Mildred was dedicated to her family and assisted her husband on the farm for many years. She loved baking and making pies for her family and friends. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her garden. Mildred was a member of Second Randolph Christian Reformed Church and its Ladies Aid.

Mildred is survived by three children, Arlyn (Sandy) DeVries of Randolph, Lorna Mae (Brian) O’Donovan of Waupun and Nancy (Tim) Foulk of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Rebecca (Craig) Rabe, Aaron (Juleah Cox) Foulk and Kayla (Zachary Herring) Foulk; one great granddaughter; brother, Wyman (Frieda) Vande Zande of Waupun; sister, Arlene (John) DeJager of Waupun; sister-in-law, Catherine Vande Zande of Grand Rapids, MI; brother-in-law, Harold (Fran) DeVries of Randolph; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Curtis in infancy; granddaughter, Julia DeVries; two brothers, Roy and Dale Vande Zande; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Second Christian Reformed Church 418 Tamarack Street, Randolph.

Funeral service for Mildred will be held at 11:00 A.M. at church on Saturday, April 6, with Pastor Keith Buist officiating. Burial will take place at the Randolph Cemetery.
