Michael "Mike" LaVern Krinke

Tragically, Michael's journey came to an untimely end on Thursday, January 2, 2025, following a farm accident that took him from this world too soon. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of many who knew him, for he was not just a neighbor but a friend to many.

Michael LaVern Krinke was born on January 10, 1971, a son of LaVern and Dixie (Spring) Krinke. He spent his days working the land on local farms in the area. He was a giving and caring man, known for his simple life and his down-to-earth ways. Mike loved nothing more than spending time in the great outdoors, often found hunting and fishing with his close friends and family, sharing stories and laughs that would warm the heart.

As we gather our thoughts and memories, we'll always remember Michael for the man he was—a simple man living a simple life, rooted deeply in the soil of the land he loved so much. We'll miss that hearty laugh and those warm, caring hands that always seemed to lend a helping hand when needed. Rest easy, Michael; you've gone to join the angels in that great open sky.

Mike is survived by his loving sister, Theresa Martin, along with his cherished nieces, Ashley and Katie and nephew, Gunnar; further survived by many other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation for Mike will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Markesan Community Funeral Home 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan and again from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Markesan Community Funeral Home. 

A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th at Markesan Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Zacharias officiating.
