Mary Margaret Wegner

Mary Margaret Wegner, age 72, of Waupun, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI.

Mary was born on July 8, 1948, in Appleton, daughter of Glen and Delores (Gnirk) Utschig. Mary had a passion for music; she attended Lawrence Community Music School in her younger years. Mary enjoyed playing the bass guitar, piano and singing. She was united in marriage to Rex Wegner on September 13, 1986. Mary had a heart of gold, always helping others in need. She regularly attended The River Church in Waupun. Her strong faith and love for family will be treasured and missed by many.

Mary is survived by her husband, Rev. Rex Wegner; four children, Craig (Jan) Zillges, Lisa (Rick Kreger) Zillges, Heather Wegner and Robin (Corry) Hauge; eleven grandchildren, Abigail (Tony) Hawkinson, Cody Zillges-Kreger, Devin Zillges-Kreger, Brennan Zillges-Kreger, Malorie Zillges-Kreger, Bethany (Uli) McGinnis, Sean McGinnis, Amber Hauge, Delaynie Hauge, Kaitlyn Zillges and Erica Zillges; two great grandchildren, Thea Hawkinson and Mila Perez; four siblings, John (Missy) Utschig, Anthony (Hope) Utschig, Laurie (Steve) Schimmers and Allen Utschig.

She was preceded in death by her son, Terrence Zillges and parents.

A celebration of life will be held for Mary at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at The River Church, 200 Fox Lake Road, Waupun with Wayne and Lisa Morrison officiating.
