Marjorie "Margie" Marie Bobholz

Marjorie "Margie" Marie Bobholz of Friesland, WI, was called to her eternal glory to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age of 84. Margie was born March 20, 1939, to Arthur and Esther (Krueger) Bobholz. Baptized on April 9, 1939, she confirmed her faith on May 17, 1953, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Friesland, where she was an active member throughout her life. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, being a member of the Ladies Aid, and being active in LWMS where she was a reporter for many years.

Margie graduated from Randolph High School in 1957 and began work at Rockwell of Randolph, where she worked in the office until 1985 when they closed. She then worked in accounting at Windsor Wood and Radford Co. before finishing her career at Wisconsin Cheeseman in 2009.

Throughout her life, she was the babysitter for much of her extended family and community and was known to many as 'Aunt Margie.' In her retirement, she started a new "career", being 'Nanny Margie' to the newest generation of family, which she enjoyed immensely. In her free time, Margie loved traveling, gardening, and knitting hats and sweaters for charities.

Margie is survived by her sisters: Ramona Moran of Savannah, GA, Violet Topel of Lake Mills, WI, and Pearl Sommer of Germantown, WI, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Esther Bobholz, her brothers and sisters-in-law: Norman (Bernadine) Bobholz, Donald (Mary) Bobholz, and Robert (Karen Laper) Bobholz; and her brothers-in-law Thomas Moran, Clifford Topel and William Sommer.

Visitation is Monday, January 22, 2024, from 9:30-11:00 AM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Friesland, immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial will take place at the Salemville Cemetery following a luncheon at the church.
