Lucille Loretta Schweder

November 22, 1927 — January 18, 2018

Lucille Loretta Schweder, age 90 of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Markesan Resident Home surrounded by her loving family.

Lucille was born on November 22, 1927, in Kingston, a daughter of Frank and Elizabeth ( Kanke) Michalowski. On August 26, 1950 she was united in marriage to Norman Schweder at St. Brendans Catholic Church in Brandon. Lucille was employed with Avalon previously known as PMI for over 25 years and housekeeping at Markesan Resident Home for a number of years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, especially tending to her rose bushes, playing cards and road trips with her husband and friends. Lucille was well known for her cake decorating and made many cakes for her family and friends. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. Lucille was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and active member of CCW/ Altar Society.

Lucille is survived by her 5 children, Donald (Karen) Schweder of Reedsburg, Richard Schweder of Markesan, Cheryl Ann (Gary) Berghammer of Manchester, Janet (David) Haak of Fond du lac and Patrice (Eric) Bartz of Manchester; 10 grandchildren, Michelle (Dennis) Gardner, Brian (Leah) Schweder, Kyle (Alicia) Schweder, Landon Schweder, Mackenzie (Alex) Hohenstern, Courtney (Jake) Jensen, Jeremy (Tabitha) Berghammer, Megan (Chris) Schueller, Matthew Bartz and Allison Bartz; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Catherine Kehrmeyer, Betty Bauer both of Leroy; 3 sisters-in-law, Delores Schweder, Dorothy Michalowski and Mabel Schweder; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman; son, Dennis Schweder; 3 brothers, Sylvester Michalowski, Floyd Michalowski and John Michalowski; 2 sisters, Marjorie Dunsmoor and Yvonne Van Rhyn; 3 brothers-in-law, Vernie Kehrmeyer, Edgar Bauer and Howie Dunsmoor.

Visitation for Lucille will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018, from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M. at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan and on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 45 Saint Joseph Street, Markesan.

A funeral mass for Lucille will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 22, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 45 Saint Joseph Street, Markesan with Fr. Marcin Kordel officiating.

A memorial fund has been established in Lucille's name.
