Louis Roy Herbst

Louis Roy Herbst passed away on Sept. 30, 2021, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac, WI.

Louie was born in on February 1, 1931, in Delta County, Michigan, son of Earl and Marie Herbst. Louie served in the Air Force, and retired from U.P Concrete Pipe in Escanaba. He volunteered at nursing homes and for the Senior Companion program before relocating to Wisconsin. Louie was a kind and gentle soul that loved to talk with everyone. He made friends wherever he went. Louie always had a kind word and was the best Dad and Grandpa. He loved fishing, listening to the baseball game on the radio, watching the Packers, and studying the bible.

Louie is survived by one daughter, Becki, of Escanaba, Michigan; four step-children: Brad (Tracy), Chad, Scott, and Susan; six grandchildren, Tony, Stacy, Phoebe, Scotty, Brett, Amber and multiple great-grandchildren; further survived by brothers and sisters, Gordon Herbst, Bill (Marvella) Herbst, Mary Raedar, Betty Watchorn, Ray (Dolly) Herbst, Alice (Howard) Watchke, as well as a host of loving relatives and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Herbst, and sister Barbera Dahlgren.
