Lois Jane Koch

Lois Jane Koch, age 81 of Burnett, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.

Lois was born on October 28, 1936, in Waupun, WI, a daughter of Henry and Rose (Heise) Henning. On February 28, 1953, she was united in marriage to Irving Koch at Pella Lutheran Church. Lois was a devoted wife and mother. For many years she was a teacher’s assistant for special education. She had a passion for teaching Sunday School and loved to tell the story of Jesus. Lois enjoyed needlepoint, shopping, reading her Bible and making gifts for her family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Lois is survived by her husband of 65 years, Irving Koch of Burnett; 9 children, Rose (Todd) Goebel of Sheboygan, Linda (Gary) Scofield of Waupun, Thomas Koch of Burnett; Jody (James) Drews of Fox Lake, Timothy Koch of Pardeeville, Michael Koch of Brandon, Douglas (Cynthia) Koch of Burnett, Kimberly (Randy) Wiesman of Waupun and Jennifer (Alan) Piening of Indiana; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Norma (Joe) Neuman and Dottie Koch; 1 brother-in-law, Donald (Diane) Koch; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law; 3 grandsons; 8 brothers; 1 sister; 2 brothers-in-law and 8 sisters-in-law.

Visitation for Lois will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, and on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 113 County Park Road, Waupun.

A celebration of Lois’ life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor David Cooper and Pastor Christopher Doerr officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
