Linda Lou Van Houten, age 69, of Ripon, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at her home.

Linda was born on March 24, 1955, in Wisconsin, the daughter of Maurice and Bonnie (Oppermann) Bunker. She was united in marriage to James Van Houten on February 5, 1972, in Waupun, Wisconsin. Linda worked at Kolpin in Fox Lake and later delivered newspapers for a number of years. She enjoyed cooking, camping, going to rummage sales and flea markets, and attending the races. Linda loved crafts, especially sewing and quilting. Linda had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone she could. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kandi Van Houten; grandson, Samuel (Kendra) Thom; great grandchildren, Blake and Kinsley; siblings, Vicky (Dave) Peachey, Peggy (Harold) Pattee, Maurice (Merry) Bunker, Leon (Carrie) Bunker and Tim (Heather) Bunker. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Van Houten; parents; brother, Darryl Bunker; nephew, Heath Peachey; and great nephew, Alrich Bunker.

Per Linda’s wishes, no service will be held.
