Lillian Oppermann

Lillian Oppermann, age 91 of Waupun, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Waupun.

Lillian was born on February 20, 1927, a daughter of Charley and Bertha (Mudrova) Belohradsky. She was united in marriage to Darwin Oppermann on June 12, 1948, in Waupun. Lillian liked going for walks and spending time with kids. She worked at Christian Home for many years until her retirement. Lillian was a member of Pella Lutheran Church.

Lillian is survived by her three children, Darvin “Chuck” (Kathy) Oppermann of TN, Darlene (Georg) Fuhrer of Beaver Dam and Wayne (Jennifer) Oppermann of Waupun; six grandchildren, Clint (Jeri) Oppermann of TN, Cass (Annamarie) Oppermann of FL, Jonathan (Amanda) Oppermann of CA, Amanda (Alan) Lang of Waupun, Ian (Morgan) Fuhrer of Beaver Dam and Chelsimae Fuhrer of Beaver Dam; numerous great grandchildren; one sister, Marcella Hanson of MN; four sisters-in-law, Donna Vande Berg, Carol Oppermann, Alice Oppermann and Beulah Opperman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darwin; two sisters, Helen (Arlie) Shoemaker and Mary (Alvin) Kiepe; four brothers-in-law, Donald Vande Berg, Barnard Oppermann, Landon Oppermann and Marvin Oppermann.

Visitation for Lillian will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun and on Thursday, December 20, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street, Waupun.

Funeral service for Lillian will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Pella Lutheran Church with Rev. David Knuth officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Ave. Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
