Kevin Carroll Strelow, age 67, of Fairwater, WI, took his last breath on Monday February 5th, 2024 at home with family by his side. Kev was born April 7th, 1956 in Waupun, WI. The son of Buryl and Carol (White) Strelow.
He attended Markesan High School and graduated in 1974. After high school he started working at C.A. Chier Sand Co., now Badger Mining Corporation, where he was a valuable asset in many areas. From there, he worked for Dave Joyce Construction, from Kingston, WI, building houses. After Dave passed, he moved on to Tank Technology in Princeton, WI.
Kevin was a certified welder and a master of all trades. He was proud of Mason Zacharias and enjoyed helping him set up his welding laser shop. He helped anyone in need, always willing to lend a hand. Kevin belonged to the Central Wisconsin Hound Hunters, Wisconsin Bear Hunters, Berlin Conservation Club and Manchester Rod and Gun Club. Most of his life and during retirement, he spent time doing what he loved best…HUNTING! His brother Mark, niece Michelle, her husband Jared, great niece Harper, and all of his hunting buddies shared his joy for hunting in their own slice of heaven in the north woods. You could also find him hunting with the Kohn boys in Marquette, WI. Sidney and Kaci Kohn would always want to ride with Kevin and share snacks.
Kevin loved Pamela (Chier) Leahy like no other. He is survived by her and her family, Shel (Mark) Zacharias, Julie “Gigi” (Jim) Carriveau, Craig (Amanda “Llama”) Leahy and Amy (Chuck) Dolgner. He adored her grandchildren: Mason and Macy Zacharias, Addie, Oliver and Lincoln Carriveau, Piper Leahy, and the ones he bragged about the most…Lucy, Natalie, and Hazel Dolgner. He loved them as they were his own.
He is also survived by Joane Strelow, his sisters and brothers: Joelene (Frank) Reck, Robert (Jane) Strelow, Randy (Marian) Strelow, Marcel (Donette) Strelow, Merle (deceased) Bonnie Strelow, Jeff Strelow, Julie (Bob) Dougherty, Mark (Kris) Strelow, and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Kevin is proceeded in death by his parents Buryl and Carol (White) Strelow, his brother Merle Strelow, his niece Joyce Strelow, and good friend Tom Leahy.
Per Kevin’s wishes, we will have a Celebration of life on Sunday February 18th from noon to 4pm at Mastricola’s On Broadway 689 Broadway St. Berlin, WI (formerly known as City Inn).
