Kevin Keith Steinmetz

Kevin Keith Steinmetz, age 29 of Dalton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 4, 2019, as a result of an automobile accident.

Kevin was born on July 14, 1990, a son of Kevin Steinmetz and Julie Jensen. Kevin was a lifelong car enthusiast. He was the owner and operator of KT Auto and Performance in Markesan. Kevin enjoyed fishing, camping and rock climbing. He spent a lot of his free time playing video games, drawing and playing the guitar. He loved making people laugh, filling conversations with jokes, impressions and voices. Kevin never stopped pursuing his dreams. His motto was, “There is no try,” which he wrote on every arrow he shot. Kevin strove for perfection in all he did. He dreamed big and worked hard to reach those dreams. Well on his way to building the life he wanted, his journey was cut short too soon.

Kevin is survived by his parents Kevin Steinmetz and Julie (Gale Lambrecht) Jensen of Dalton; siblings, Eric Steinmetz, Mary (Jamie) Spartz, Thomas (Alison) Steinmetz and Robert Steinmetz; significant other Sarah Fredrick; further survived by nephews, Liam, Briar and baby Steinmetz; grandmothers, Shirley Raymond and Olsie Jensen; aunts, uncles and cousins; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Norman (Jean) Jensen; paternal grandparents, Robert B. Steinmetz and Garry Raymond; Uncle Jeffrey Raymond.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at George Thompson American Legion Post 395, 411 North South Street, Kingston. In memory of Kevin, please wear his favorite color purple.
