Keith Baldwin

Keith Raymond Baldwin, 85, died unexpectedly July 2, 2022.  He was born in Mauston, Wisconsin on July 18, 1936 to Arthur and Gladys (Otto) Baldwin.

Keith graduated from Mauston High School in 1954.  Following graduation, he served in the US Navy until 1957.  He then attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison graduating in 1961 with a BA in Business.  He was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity.  While at the University he met the love of his life, Helaine Schrank.  They were married on September 21, 1963 and lived in several states before settling down in Arlington Heights, Illinois where they lived for 35 years.

Keith earned an MBA from the University of Chicago School of Business.  He, along with two partners, formed an Executive Search Firm which he ran until he retired in 2002.  In 2016, Keith and Helaine moved to Venice, Florida, where they spent their winters while continuing to spend summers at their Wisconsin lake house.

Keith’s faith was an important part of his life.  He was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights for 40 years and devoted many years serving in the Illinois ELCA.  At the time of his death, he was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Venice, Florida.

Keith was an avid sailor and active member of the Waukegan Sail and Power Squadron for many years.  He loved sports, especially following his favorite teams the Wisconsin Badgers and the Chicago Cubs.  He was very outgoing and made friends wherever he went.  Keith was a problem solver with a quick analytical mind and could figure out or fix most anything. He had a loving heart and a quick and easy sense of humor.

Keith will be deeply missed by his wife Helaine, his three children Laura (Tom) Adochio, Steven Baldwin, and Jennifer (Charles) Powe, his five grandchildren Emily Adochio, Ellie Adochio, Natalie Adochio, Becky Powe, and Zach Powe, along with many relatives and friends.

Keith’s family was the highlight of his life and he treasured time spent with them.  Keith was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings.

A celebration of Keith’s life will be held at 2:30 P.M. on July 24 th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights, Illinois. https://www.oursaviours.org
