Karen "Kae" Lucille Bagneski

Karen “Kae” Lucille Bagneski, age 65, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, due to complications from diabetes, at Aurora St Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Kae was born on September 16, 1958, at St Joseph’s Hospital in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Howley) Bagneski. She was a graduate of Randolph High School, class of 1977. Kae continued her education at U.W. Whitewater, receiving a bachelor's degree in English. She lived in Cross Plains, Wisconsin before moving to Minnesota where she resided for many years. She worked various office jobs and was employed at several optical businesses throughout her career. Kae’s favorite place of employment was with Conran Eyecare in Fond du Lac. She became good friends with her employers Brian and Katie Conran and shared many fond memories with them. Kae enjoyed creative writing and wrote multiple manuscripts. She loved playing board games, especially Clue with her friend Mary Musachia and her sister Rosemary. Kae was very creative, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and card stamping.

Kae is survived by her siblings, Theresa Anderson, Wayne Bagneski Sr., Roger Bagneski and Rosemary Tietz; adoptive son, Erik Schiltgen; special friends, Mary Musachia and Micah Schlobohm; feline companion, Yoru. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert J. Bagneski Sr.; brothers in law, Melvin W. Bobholz, Robert J. Anderson and Howard E. Tietz.

The family would like to thank Brian and Katie Conran for their help and support in Kae’s health care.

A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday June 29, 2024, at Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 South High Street, Randolph, WI 53956.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Randolph Community Funeral Home with Pastor John Hildebrandt officiating. Burial will follow at Annunciation Catholic Cemetery of Randolph.
