John Wendell Williams

John Wendell Williams, age 77 of Markesan, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Markesan Resident Home.

John was born on August 29, 1939 in Zeigler, Illinois the son of Iva Lloyde and Thelma (Woodall) Williams. In 1975, he was united in marriage to Katherine (Carney) Pauling in Lombard, Illinois. John worked in the Chicago area in the corrugated industry until retiring in the Green Lake area. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and a St. Louis Cardinals and Nascar fan. John loved spending time with his grandchildren.

John is survived by step-son Brad (Judy) Pauling and step-daughter Deborah (Richard) Feutz; six grandchildren, Julie Lindberg, Christy (Ben) Goughenour, Keri (Rob) Kaczor, Laura (John) Goughenour, Amanda (Alan) Morris, Philip (Sarah) Feutz; seven great grandchildren, Tyler, Sarah, Aiden, Abby, Aoife, Issac, Fjell; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers, Harold and Jack Williams.

Visitation for John will be held from 2:30 P.M. until the hour of service on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan.

A memorial service for John will be held at 3:30 P.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Markesan Community Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
