John David Dzbinski, age 76 of Markesan, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at the Markesan Resident Home with family at his side.
John was the first of eight children born to William and Gloria (Trilling) Dzbinski on January 16, 1947. He primarily grew up in Waterford, WI and graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1965–1971 and was a Sonar Technician aboard the USS Blandy during the Vietnam conflict. He was married to Inez (Tonn) on June 20, 1970. They were married for 28 years and had two children. John worked as a garage door installer for several years and later started his own business called John’s Overhead Door Service which serviced central and south eastern Wisconsin.
John liked spending time outdoors. Hunting, fishing and golfing trips were always a priority. He particularly enjoyed traveling to the Canadian wilderness with his friends and family for weeks at a time.
John is survived by his daughter Tracy Dzbinski, his son Richard Dzbinski, his two grandchildren Michelle Dzbinski and Kayla Dzbinski, his brother Steven Dzbinski and his five sisters, Mary Conner, Amy Neuman, Ann Boelter, Grace Morgan, and Jane Ingalls. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James Dzbinski.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan, WI 53946.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9,2023, at the Markesan Community Funeral Home with Chaplain Dennis Richards officiating with Military Honors provided by Abendroth-Connolly American Legion Post 282 Markesan Honor Guard.
