Joanne Jean Rau

Joanne Jean Rau, age 86 of Waupun, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at Prairie Ridge.

Joanne was born on August 20, 1931, in Fox Lake, WI, a daughter of Harvey and Elda (Ruenger) Ketelhohn. On August 14, 1948, she was united in marriage to Junior Rau. Joanne attended Fox Lake schools. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Joanne enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, plastic crafts, playing cards and ironing anything from sheets to underwear. She also enjoyed going deer hunting and fishing with her husband and friends. Joanne was a loving, hard working woman who would help anyone that needed it. Her family and grandchildren meant a lot to her.

Joanne is survived by two daughters, Linda (David) Karls of Crystal Falls, MI, and Pamela (Paul) Ferch of Brandon; seven grandchildren, Vicki (Jerry), Shelli (Rob), Paula, Marty, Kari, Austin and Landen; nine great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; seven siblings, Lois James, Merle (Mary) Ketelhohn, June Summicht, Claudette (Harold) Spolum, Adrian (Mary) Kurth, Susan Kurth and John (Jo) Kurth; one step-sister, Nancy North; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son, Alan; two brothers, Lawrence and Leslie and a step-brother, Bill Kurth.

Visitation for Joanne will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun.

A funeral service for Joanne will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Kohls Community Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Lantz officiating. Private committal service will follow.
