Jessica Lynn Heider

Jessica Lynn Heider, age 42 of Markesan, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Thedacare Medical Center in Appleton.

Jess was born on February 14, 1978, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Ricky and Susan (Riel) Schmidt. She graduated from Oakfield High School in 1996. On August 10, 1996, she was united in marriage to Dan Heider in Waupun. She enjoyed spending time at Mauthe Lake beach and playing volleyball. Jess was a devoted mom and loved to watch her kids in their sporting activities. She had a strong faith in God and found joy in helping others in the community.

Jess is survived by her husband, Dan; her parents, Ricky (Sue) Schmidt; four children, Christian (fiancé, Olivia Bagnall), Austin, Isaac and Elliana; a sister, Jennifer (Jacob) Grunska; a brother, Joshua Schmidt; paternal grandfather, Ervin (Marilyn) Schmidt; parents-in-law, Harold (Elizabeth) Heider; numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two children, Skylar and Katrina; maternal grandparents, Gordon (Jean) Riel; paternal grandmother, Darrelyn Schmidt; a brother-in-law, Anthony Heider and a niece, Niveyah Bessman.

Visitation for Jess will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Springbrook Event Center, N8400 County Road I, Burnett, WI 53922.

A funeral service for Jess will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Springbrook Event Center with burial to follow at Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield.

Jess had a big heart and wanted to help others any way she could and chose to be an organ donor.

A memorial fund has been established in Jess’ name.
