Jerome Roger Floeter age 61, of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly at his home, on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Joe was born on January 28, 1959, in Waupun, and raised on the Floeter farm, son of Arden and Helen (Preuss) Floeter. He graduated from Markesan High School in 1977. Joe was united in marriage to Pamela Austin on May 17, 2003, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Markesan. He was employed with Avalon Precision Metalsmiths for 25 years and currently employed with Del Monte. Joe spent many years hunting at the Hausinger Farm and snowmobiling with the “old crew.” He enjoyed ice fishing, bowling, Saturday nights at the races and Sunday Packer games with family and friends. Joe will be dearly missed by many.
Joe is survived by his loving wife Pamela; children, Jason (Fiancé Kayla Thuemller) Floeter, Jamie (Fiancé Joe Eick) Floeter, Sheri Botcher and Charles (Sierra) Botcher; 13 grandchildren, Ryan, Haleigh, Kenny, Axl, Elliana, Desirae, Landon, Conner, Charley, Artemis, Tristan, Jage and Nelly; sisters, Cassandra Hausinger, Diann Henning, Carla (Mike) Wendt; two brothers, Keith Floeter and twin brother, Jeffrey (Sandy) Floeter; mother and father in-law, Charles (Sharon) Austin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; further survived by Joe’s special fur babies, Woo, Colbi, Stink and Pixi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rodrick Floeter, brothers-in-law, Ronald Austin, Dave Hausinger; two nieces, Brittany Floeter and Jody Hausinger in infancy.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 9, 2020, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 N. Margret Street, Markesan and again on Saturday, October 10 th at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
A funeral service for Jerome will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 65 West Catherine Street, Markesan with Pastor Jason Jobs officiating. Burial to follow at Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Joe’s name.
