Jason "Phil" Guderjahn

Jason Ervin Guderjahn, age 38 of Markesan, passed away unexpectedly doing what he loved most, on Friday, December 15, 2023.

Jason was born on August 5, 1985, son of Dennis and Carol (Shurpit) Guderjahn. He was a graduate of Green Lake High School, class of 2004. Jason was united in marriage to Misty on August 11, 2012, at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake. His family meant the world to him, it was no secret how proud Jason was of his sons and deeply loved his children. He was very hospitable and enjoyed cookouts with family and friends. He was known for his pranks, always looking to make others laugh.  Jason’s passion for cars and Minneapolis Moline tractors began at a very young age that continued in adulthood. He was employed with BDN Transport and attended Peace Lutheran Church of Green Lake.

Jason is survived by his wife Misty “Karen” Guderjahn; six children, Bayley Heidt and her significant other Matthew Cobb, Briana Heidt, Tristyn Guderjahn, Gage Guderjahn, Holdyn Guderjahn and Brisyn Guderjahn; parents, Dennis and Carol Guderjahn; sister, Sara (Matt) Berry; brother, Adam Guderjahn; nephews, Aiden, Jackson and Bentley; maternal grandfather, Ervin Shurpit Sr.; further survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Shurpit; paternal grandparents, Lawrence (Loretta) Guderjahn; aunt, Tracie Shurpit.

A funeral service for Jason will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Peace Lutheran Church, 440 Lake Street, Green Lake, with Pastor Nickolas Haasch officiating.

Visitation for Jason will be held at the church on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service.

Memorial donations have been established to his children in memory of Jason.
