James "Jim" Alan Lesnau

James Alan Lesnau, age 73, of Markesan, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at his home. Born on August 6, 1951, he was the son of Adrian and Antoinette (Struffert) Lesnau. James was united in marriage to Susan Wilk on December 30, 1995. He worked in sheet metal construction for a number of years before retiring in 2008 and moving to the Markesan area.

James was a kind person with numerous friends from all around. He enjoyed pontoon rides with family and friends and long strolls on his golf cart in the White Sails area. What he did for others was what really defined him. It was his love for life, his energy, and hard work that he will be remembered by.

James is survived by his loving wife, Sue Bogwill-Lesnau; three children, Allison (Patrick) Gaden, Nathan Lesnau, and Shana Lesnau; five grandchildren, Alex, Zachary, Caden, Rylan, and Carter; siblings, Linda (Rick) Ritz, Jeff Lesnau, and Annette (Jeff) Tipman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Ruth Lesnau.
