Helen Carolyn Krueger

Helen Carolyn Krueger, age 91 of Viroqua formerly of Waupun, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.

Helen was born on November 30, 1927, in Waupun, Wisconsin, a daughter of Walter and Norma (Engler) Peters. In February of 1952, she was united in marriage to Marvin Krueger at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. She worked in the kitchen at the Waupun High School for a number of years. Helen enjoyed going dancing with her husband and brothers and sisters-in-law, fishing, baking, knitting, spending time at the family cottage in Winneconne and watching legion baseball games. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her 2 daughters, Lynnell (Gary) Nummerdor of DeSoto and Heidi (Jerry) Pautz of Cedarburg; 4 grandchildren, William (Crystal) Nummerdor, Carolyn Nummerdor, Jeremy (Sarah) Moser and Holly Moser; 10 great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Desirae, Shianne, Ivan, Gaven, Ryan, Tori, Madison, Rosemary and Gabriel; 2 brothers, Wallace (Shirley) Peters and Lawrence Peters; 2 sisters-in-law, Bernice Krueger and Marilyn Krueger; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; 2 sisters, Lois (Melvin) Pautsch and Ardell (George) Miller; 4 brothers-in-law, Walter, Wilbert “Curly”, Ervin and Earl Krueger and 1 sister-in-law, Edna Krueger.

Visitation for Helen will be held from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun.

A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Kohls Community Funeral Home with Pastor David Knuth officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

A memorial fund has been directed to Pella Lutheran Church or Creamery Creek Assisted Living in Helen’s name.
