Harold William Mulder

December 4, 1937 — October 24, 2020

Harold William Mulder was born December 4 th 1937, Sioux County IA, son of Alvin and Rose (DeJong) Mulder. On August 6, 1959, he was united in marriage to Marlyce Anne Van Dyke in Leota MN. Harold graduated from Western High School in 1955, graduated Dordt College in 1957 and Calvin College in 1961. He continued his education obtaining a Masters Degree of Education in 1971.

Harold began his Teaching/ Administrating career in 1957 with Christian Schools International at Hawarden Christian School, Hawarden IA. Over a span of six decades Harold served as Senior Administrator and Classroom Teacher in 10 different schools, located in seven different states. From the East Coast of Silver Springs, Maryland to the West Coast of Walnut Creek, California, as far South as Miami, Florida and North to Waupun Wisconsin, with several places in between.  He found joy in serving his community through the church serving as an elder, worship leader, choirs and many other leadership roles. After formal retirement he enjoyed using his many talents while volunteering with World Renew Disaster Relief on 25 different deployments.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marlyce of Waupun WI; 4 children, Susan (Keith) Buwalda of Markesan WI, Kristen Mulder of Santa Rosa CA, Amy (Jeff) Neisen of Broomfield CO, and Vaughn (Allison) Mulder of Miami Fl; 7 grandchildren, great-grandchildren; 7 siblings. He was preceded in death by his Parents and two siblings (Gerald and Janice).
