Harold Elmer Drager, age 92 of Markesan, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at the Markesan Resident Home.
He was born on August 26, 1926, to Elmer and Gisela (Meerstein) Drager. Butch owned and operated the Drager homestead farm all his life. After he retired from the farm he worked for many years at Equity and Ripon Printers. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed bowling and played softball until he was in his 50’s. Butch was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairwater.
Butch is survived by his nephew, Lynn (Gwen) Drager of Markesan; mother of great niece and nephews, Diane Cutts of Ripon; great nieces and nephews, Cory Drager of Markesan, Monte (Kim) Drager of Markesan and Amanda Drager of Fairwater; great great nieces and nephews, Cody, Cole and Hailey Drager, Payton, Presley Drager; further survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lorenz (Gertrude) Drager and sister in infancy.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan.
A funeral service for Butch will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Markesan Community Funeral Home with burial to take place at Fairwater Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been directed to Zion Lutheran Church of Fairwater.
