Geraldine Mary Huempfner, age 96 of Brandon, passed away peacefully at her home with family at her side on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
Geraldine was born on September 23, 1925, in De Pere, WI, daughter of Peter and Caroline (Gerarden) Bloemers. She was a graduate of Nicolet High School, West De Pere. Jean was united in marriage to Robert Huempfner Sr. at St. Joesph Church on October 2, 1948, in De Pere, WI. She was employed at Mollenhauer Laboratories, in Green Bay, where the firm made millions of vitamins for the troops overseas during WWII. In the early 1950’s, Jean and Robert moved to Waupun. She worked at Waupun Laundry, on the family farm and seasonally employed by local canning factories but her primary and most loved was that of a wife, mother and grandma. She loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren. She enjoyed her coffee, going to the casino and playing cards. Jean was truly one of the most generous women you could ever hope to meet, a blessed soul, who was loved by all that knew her. Jean served on the altar society and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waupun.
Jean is survived by her three sons, Robert Huempfner, Jr. of Fond du lac, Philip Huempfner and Bruce Huempfner, both of Brandon; two daughters, Debra (Jerry) Miller of Waupun and Patricia (Wes) Aalsma of Brandon; twelve grandchildren, Angela (Ben) Winter, Steven (Becky) Olson, Aaron Olson, Nathan (Carla) Olson, Joshua (Danielle) Huempfner, Kayla (Roy Kessel) Bradham, Ryan Miller and Kyle (Chelsea) Miller, Shawn (Amy) Aalsma, Cory Aalsma, Jamie (Erika) Aalsma, Kristy Villanuvea; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; Meghan Frey, Erika (Sam) Mevissen, Hannah and Keagan Buros, Bre Greene, Isabella, Noah, Corrine, Ethan, Isla, Lily and Natalie Olson, Emily, Amber, Megan, Connor, Keria and AJ Aalsma, Michaela, Emily, Gabriel Joseph, Benjamin, Gideon, Melody, Barnabas and Ezekiel Bradham, Rinoa and Rowynn Huempfner and one great granddaughter expected in December; four great great-grandchildren, Zoe Frey, Lexi, Gabbi, Roman Wiercioch; four sisters-in-law, Tina (Larry) Schroeder, Betty Ann Renier, Virginia Huempfner and Jackie (Jim) Vandenack; further survived by her loving canine Gunner and felines, Casper, Cindy and Pumpkin; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2004, two daughters, Carol Huempfner and Barbara Olson; two brothers, Cyril and twin brother Gerald Bloemers; grandson in infancy, Jeremy Aalsma; special friend, Nancy Dean and special cousin, Beatrice Coenen.
Visitation for Jean will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, WI.
A funeral service for Jean will follow at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 30 th , at Kohls Funeral Home with Rev. John Radetski officiating.
