Frederick Klaas Boersma

Frederick K. Boersma went to be with his Lord on February 13, 2023 after a long illness which he fought diligently and with courage.  He is survived by his son Sean Boersma wife Ignacia and granddaughter Olivia; daughter Melissa Boersma; brother Sid Boersma wife Sharon Mason-Boersma and their children and grandchildren; brother Ted Boersma wife Trina and their children and grandchildren; brother Howard Boersma wife Sandra and their children and grandchildren; sister Dawn Boersma Johnson Young husband Howard Young and children; brother Timothy wife Lori and their children and grandchildren. Fred will reconnect with those who have gone before, including his wife Valetta Holan Boersma, his mother Faith Spitler Boersma, father Clarence Boersma, brother Allen Boersma, and nephew Bo Boersma.

Fred was a banker for most of his life and a skilled blacksmith, welder/forger and woodworker. He graduated from UW Whitewater and attended Central College for a year. He was always learning and was an honest and strong-willed Dutchman.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Friesland Cemetery.
