Forrest Lee Sullivan age 73 of Markesan, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Randolph Health Services.
Forrest was born on September 4, 1945, in West Virginia, son of Forrest and Ruth (Grankey) Sullivan. He was a graduate of Say Brook High School, Say Brook, Illinois. Following high school Forrest was enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1964-1967. He was awarded the Vietnam Combat Parachute Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Forrest enjoyed reading and was an avid military collector and bought his first helmet at the age of 6 yrs. He loved military, antique shows and the hunt of finding them. On February 24, 1993, he was united in marriage to Mary Goralski. Forrest was a member of the Abendroth-Connolly American Legion Post 282 of Markesan, WI.
Forrest is survived by his devoted wife and companion for 26 years. Mary; one daughter, Shannon (Joel) VerDuin of Hudson, WI; two sons, Shawn (Toni) Sullivan of Wild Rose and Scott Sullivan of La Crosse; one step-son, Timothy Hoopman of Madison and one-step-daughter, Ann Arndt of Waupun; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sister, Beverly Sullivan of Muscoda.
Following Forrest’s wishes no visitation or service will be held.
