Evelyn Emma Zacharias

Evelyn Emma Zacharias, age 92 of Randolph, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Randolph Health Services.

Evelyn was born on June 1, 1930, in Milwaukee, a daughter of Gottfried and Emma (Meissner) Borger. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Zacharias on June 18, 1949. Evelyn enjoyed baking cookies and breads for her family during Christmas. She would tend to her garden and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Evelyn loved going shopping, playing bingo at the casino, and attending musicals at the Fireside Theatre.

Evelyn is survived by six children, Duane Zacharias, Gary (Joan) Zacharias, Susan (Gregory) Dahlberg, Keith (Helen) Zacharias, Gail (Wayne) Rooney, and Thomas (Effie) Zacharias; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeannie Zacharias and Arline Guenther. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2005; parents; sister, Lillian Kunesh; brother, Arthur (Donna) Borger; brother-in-law, Edwin (Mary) Zacharias, Wilbert Zacharias, and Edward Guenther.

Visitation will be held from 11-12:00p.m. noon on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan, WI. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Zacharias officiating. Burial will take place at Lake Maria Cemetery.
