Erling H. Wittrock, age 91, of Palmetto, Florida, formerly of Neenah, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, in Bradenton, Florida. He was born on September 27, 1929 in Merrill, Wisconsin, son of Fred and Edna (Guse) Wittrock.
Erling married Vivian Hoffman on June 3, 1950 in Merrill, Wisconsin. In 1952 he enlisted in the Marine Corp and served during the Korean War. He was a resident of the Fox Cities until the death of Vivian in 1998 when he moved to Palmetto, Florida. Erling was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working in his yard and volunteering at the church. He was a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Neenah and member of the First United Methodist Church in Palmetto.
He is survived by his daughter, Gail Jansen, Howell, Michigan, his son, Dana Wittrock, Madison, Wisconsin and his two granddaughters, Elizabeth Wittrock and Amy Wittrock and three great-grandsons.
A committal service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 29, 2021, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1451 Green Valley Road, Neenah, Wisconsin, with Rev. Tim Albrecht officiating. Entombment will follow.
