Donald Gene Streekstra

Donald Gene Streekstra, age 66 of Mayville, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du lac, WI.

Don was born on February 10, 1955, son of George and Elsie (Elgersma) Streekstra. He was united in marriage to Sue Linde on August 31, 1985, at First Reformed Church in Friesland. Don was employed by Waupun Correctional Institution for 14 ½ years. He enjoyed going camping, collecting Santa’s and cars.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching WI sports.

Don is survived by his wife Sue of Mayville; son, Matthew (Selena Hayden) Streekstra; daughter, Victoria Streekstra; two granddaughters, Faith and Leiana Streekstra; seven siblings, Harry (Helen) Streekstra of Wisconsin Rapids, Annette Hopp of Ripon, Ann Boerson of Waupun, Jerry (Rhonda) Streekstra, Dennis (Mary Kay) Streekstra of Florida, Kathy (Elton) Kleist of Florida and Connie (Bruce) Campbell of Illinois; four brothers-in-law, Marshall (Liz) Linde of Minocqua, Bruce (Lois) Linde of Stone Lake, WI; Paul Linde of New Mexico and Mark Linde of Fox Lake; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Elsie Streekstra; mother and father in-law, Wray and Shirley Linde; two brothers, in law, Howard Hopp and Alvin Boerson; one nephew Randy Hopp.

Visitation for Don will be held at 12:00 P.M. noon to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun.

A funeral service for Don will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 18 ^th at Kohls Community Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Buist officiating. Burial will follow at Friesland Cemetery.
