Donald V. Schultz reached his Heavenly home on November 26, 2024. He was born at home in Juneau on August 25, 1935, to Theodore and Mary (Hein) Schultz. His parents brought him to be baptized on September 22, 1935, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Juneau. He confirmed his faith on April 10, 1949, also at St. John’s, where he attended Christian grade school. He was a graduate of Horicon High School, class of 1953. Donald enlisted in the Marines in 1954 and served his country and was honorably discharged in 1957 as Sergeant (E4). On April 18, 1959, he married Beverly Deibert at Zion Lutheran Church in Burnett. The Lord blessed them with four children. He worked as a professional Truck Driver for over 50 years, achieving the pinnacle of his career as a Wisconsin Road Team Member in 1990. He served on many committees at Pella Lutheran Church. Donald was also a co-founder of Truck-n-Show and served on committees. After retirement he spent two summers in Alaska to help build a church in Copper Center. Donald enjoyed traveling and spending his winters in Arizona for over 20 years.
Donald is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Schultz; children, Lori (Rob Quandt) Schultz, Mari (Jeff) Heideman, Gordon (April) Schultz and Gary (Laura) Schultz; grandchildren, Amanda McDowell, Dustin (Emily) Heideman, Erica (Tyler) Hoersch, Nicholas, Jeremy, Jordon (Vanessa), Jessica (Adam) Schnell, Taylor (Johanna), Jenna, Halla, Daniel (Maureen) and William; great grandchildren, Brianna (Josh), Tylor, Braxton, Myles, Graham, Quinn, Aiden, Amelia, Ruby, Brooke, Briana, Kaia, Adaline, Beckett, Elowyn, Chloe, Emma and Emily.
He is further survived by his brother, Dennis (Bernice) Schultz; in-laws, Hilbert Klawitter, David (Judy) Deibert, Sharon (Jim) Evers, Fred (Loretta) Deibert and Mary Deibert. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eugene (Louella) Schultz; sister, Arlene Klawitter; brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Marion) and Keith Deibert; nephews, Daryl and Todd Deibert; niece, Joan Broitzman and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Pella Lutheran Church for the education building new roof fund.
A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street, Waupun, WI 53963.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Pella Lutheran Church with Pastor David Knuth officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens with Military Honors provided by Horicon American Legion Post 157.
