Domanic Lynn Richter

Domanic Lynn Richter, age 18 of Markesan, was called home unexpectedly by his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 17, 2022, as a result of a car accident.

Domanic was born on April 28, 2003, in Waupun, son of Jason Poortenga and Kimberly Richter. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salemville. Domanic was currently employed with Nord Gear Corporation in Waunakee. He enjoyed ice fishing, his vehicles and most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his canine friend, Roxy.

Domanic is lovingly survived by his mother, Kimberly Richter of Cambria; his father, Jason Poortenga of Fairwater; sister, Alecia (Colton Parson) Richter of Fox Lake; significant other, Cierra Riederer of Cottage Grove; four aunts, Brenda (Kevin) Beekman of Brandon, Kristy (Brian) Zacho of Cambria, Bridget (Todd) Kratz of Markesan and Godmother, Terra (Tom) Whirry of Dalton; two uncles, Godfather, Jeff Poortenga of Rosendale and Casey (Jana) Richter of Cambria; maternal grandparents, Terry (Roxene) Richter of Markesan; paternal grandparents, Doug (Carla) Poortenga of Fairwater; further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan.

A celebration of Domanic’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, with Rev. Kurt Hagen officiating. Burial will follow at Salemville Cemetery.
