Diana Spiering

Diana Marie Spiering, age 82 of Markesan, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Barrett House in Markesan.

Diana was born in Milwaukee, on May 10, 1941, daughter of Hugo and Helen (Rejniak) Schuknecht. She was united in marriage to John M. Perry on Sept 6,1958 and together raised five daughters. In 1971, John Perry passed away unexpectedly and later in life married Walter A. Spiering. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling with family and friends. Diana loved tending to her garden and flower beds.  She enjoyed raising chickens and many other animals that came along the way. Her true calling and greatest joy came from being a dedicated homemaker. She poured her heart into raising their five daughters and took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diana looked forward to family gatherings and Christmas being her favorite holiday, she would spend hours in the kitchen preparing holiday dinners for her family.

Diana is survived by her five daughters, Deborah Laper, Donna (Tom) Wasilewski, Jackie (Dennis) Grzenia, Peggy (Mark) Laper and Susan Perry; 18 grandchildren, Courtney Laper , Lindsey (Jerry) Wray, Hilary (Justin) Nettesheim, Aaron Zacharias, Michelle Wasilewski, Alexis (Marlin) Winden, Danielle (Tyler) Strzyzewski, Brooke (Paul) Stephenson, Autumn Grzenia, Christopher (Megan) Clark, Megan Clark, Cody and Paris Laper, Amanda (Brett) Wiersma, Ashley Haas (Curtis), Michelle and Kayla Dzbinski (Tim); 25 great grandchildren, sister Audrey Huges and further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, John Perry and Walter Spiering; sister Violet Burkhardt, grandson Brian Wasilewski, son-in-law, Arden Laper, companion Tom Crook.

The family would like to thank the staff at SSM Hospice and the Barrett House for their comfort and support.

A private graveside service will take place at Green Lake Center Cemetery, Green Lake County, WI.
