Delores Ann Laper

Delores Ann Laper, age 85 of Markesan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Markesan Resident Home, with her husband at her side.

Delores was born on September 10, 1933, in Berlin, the daughter of Harold and Ann (Polus) Armbruster. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids on June 1, 1951. On April 19, 1952, she was united in marriage to Herbert Laper in Berlin, WI.

Over the years Delores was employed at the Ripon Cookie Factory, bus driver for the Markesan School District, and waitressed at Lemiesz’s, Lake View, and lunches at the bowling alley. She enjoyed bowling, sewing and crocheting. Delores and Herb went on vacations to, Hawaii, Mytle Beach, Arizona and New York. She was a member of Holy Family Parish of Markesan.

Delores is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Herbert; three children, Penny (Tom) Damrow of Howards Grove, WI, Arden (Debbie) Laper of Markesan and Kathy (Tom) Taake of Neenah, WI, also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, further survived by her sisters, Elaine Havitz, Karen (Les) Kuehl and brother, James (Lori) Armbruster, sister-in-law, June Zuhlke, Avis (Vern) Cornwell, Mary Armbruster and Nancy Laper; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry and brothers-in-law, Jack Havitz, Irwin Laper Sr., Robert Laper and Loren Zuhlke Sr.; nieces, Wanda Kuehl, Deborah Laper and Carmen Armbruster; nephews, Fred Zuhlke and James Allen Cornwell.

Visitation for Delores will be held on Monday, December 10, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Holy Family Parish, 45 Saint Joseph Street, Markesan.

A funeral mass for Delores will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018, at church with Fr. Mark Miller officiating.

The family would like to thank the North Terrace Assisted Living nurses and all the staff from Agnesian Hospice Hope for all the special care given to Delores.
