David Carl Zimmerman

David Carl Zimmerman, age 68, of Fox Lake passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at his home with his loving wife by his side.

David was born in Fort Mead, Maryland in 1955, son of Elsmer and Eileen (Rahn) Zimmerman. He graduated from Waupun High School, class of 1973. David married Mary McBride his first wife, they were blessed with a daughter Anne (Shawn Na). In 1989, he married Tami Lienemann (his late wife) and they were blessed with two daughters Natalie (John Dreymiller) and Emma and her fiancé Lucas Wallendal. In 2015, he was united in marriage to Shirley Beier (Radtke). David had five step daughters, Angie (Jerry Hanefeld), Annette Radtke, Lori (Jack Scott), Christy (Andy Lawson) and Kayla (Brian Igl); thirteen step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. David is further survived by five brothers, Jim (Deb) Zimmerman, Mark Zimmerman, Glen (Donna) Zimmerman, Neil (Pam) Zimmerman and Ken (Donna) Zimmerman; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. David’s last job was at Valero Ethanol Plant in Jefferson, where he worked in maintenance and retired in 2021.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan, WI 53946.

A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Markesan Community Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Prell officiating. Burial will follow at Phelps Cemetery.
